In an effort to make sure no child in Delaware goes hungry, the Food Bank of Delaware, in partnership with Capital School District, has implemented a school pantry program. Through the program, at-need families will be able to access emergency food and hygiene products. A variety of nutritious food products (fruits, vegetables, meats and protein foods, beans, rice, pasta, etc.) will be available for family choice (30 pounds per distribution). Additionally, each family is eligible to receive 5 pounds of non-food items (personal care, toiletries, etc.) of their choice. If you know of any Capital School District families that may qualify to benefit from this program, please refer them to your school’s counselor or Food Pantry Liaison.
